Simley Student Wins Triple Threat Award

Chloe was one of only four Triple Threat Award winnersSpotlight Education is a program of Hennepin Theatre Trust that advocates for musical theatre education and its influence in developing creative and innovative leaders. Each year, the program recognizes high school musicals and the students who make them outstanding. This year, Simley Theatre’s “West Side Story” and its cast and crew earned 15 recognitions for their work, including an Outstanding Performance in a Lead Role Award for Chloe Hart. Chloe, who played Tony in Simley Theatre’s 2019 spring musical, “West Side Story,” competed for the Triple Threat Award during the organization’s summer showcase and won!

On June 10 and 11, Spotlight Education held a showcase for 26 of the Twin Cities Metro’s best musical theatre high school students. Chloe performed for the award and was chosen as one of only four Triple Threat Award winners! At the end of the month, Chloe will take an all-expenses paid trip to New York as part of the award, where she will attend Broadway shows, meet with industry professionals, and participate in workshops to hone her performance skills. Congratulations to Chloe!
