Eligibility Testing


The following assessments are required for a student to be eligible for potential enrollment in the Atheneum Gifted Magnet Program:
  • NWEA: Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) - Reading and Math
  • Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT)
  • Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC-V)

All assessments must be administered during the current school year and submitted by the application deadline to be considered for potential placement.

 The application for the 2019-2020 school year is now closed.

 Official score reports of MAP, CogAT and/or WISC-V student data can be submitted to:

ISD 199 offers select dates for students out-of-district students who are seeking evaluation for the Atheneum Gifted Magnet Program. The testing appointments last approximately 2 hours and are held at the Inver Grove Heights District Office (2990 80th St. East, Inver Grove Heights, MN 55076).

To request a testing appointment, please fill out the Eligibility Testing Appointment Form.  Please note:  The Atheneum Application must be submitted before a testing appointment can be confirmed. 

UPDATE 3/1/2019:  The first round of eligibility testing is now finished.  If more spots are available in the Atheneum program, more testing appointments will be made available in mid-April 2019.
